Hydro-Mist Sanitizing System

Dec 20, 2020

Now more than ever, it's vital that your office is not only clean, but treated with disinfectant to help stop the spread of germs and viruses.

After what has felt like an eternity, we are finally returning back to work.  Businesses are opening, stores are opening to the public, restaurants are allowing patrons to dine-in, and we are trying to return to normal life.  Although, if you have been to any of the recently opened businesses or restaurants, then you realize right away that things are anything but normal.  With social distancing measures in place, normally mundane and uneventful outings seem surreal, like we are living in an alternate dimension where personal contact is prohibited.  Along with all of the unusual social distancing practices, there are also very stringent cleaning and sanitizing requirements now in place at most establishments.  Although some of the new cleaning and sanitizing takes place during business hours, the bulk of the new procedures are administered after hours as entire facilities are disinfected by professional cleaning crews.  At C&C Janitorial, this is where we have seen the biggest shift in service requests from our commercial cleaning clients.  Although sanitizing has been a regular part of our janitorial routine for more than 20 years, we have seen a dramatic increase in the requests we receive for this specific service.

When it comes to sanitizing, there are many options available to get the job done.  The most common forms of sanitizing used in every facility under the sun are individual wipes and hand sanitizer.  These are very effective and great for specific uses.  But what do you do when you need to sanitize an entire room?  Or several offices within a facility?  Or an entire building for that matter?  You would go broke trying to buy enough wipes to disinfect an entire office building… that is if you could even find the wipes to purchase!  That’s where our sanitizing services become extremely valuable.  We use a sanitizing system known as Hydro-Mist, which emits a light fog from a commercial sprayer that is capable of disinfecting every surface in an entire room within minutes.  This is the exact same type of system used for decades by commercial airlines to disinfect airplanes after each flight.  By restaurants to disinfect dining areas overnight.  By hotels to disinfect entire rooms between guests.  The Hydro-Mist system is an EPA certified sanitizing system that is completely safe and effective for disinfecting large areas.

If you are faced with the challenge of disinfecting a large office or building, then you should contact us today to schedule a free quote.  This system is ideal for medical offices, day-care facilities, gyms, churches, and any other large space that needs thorough disinfecting.

Here are some frequently asked questions pertaining to our Hydro-Mist system:

How long do we need to wait after disinfectant is complete?

The Hydro-Mist system emits a gentle fog into the air that slowly settles onto all surfaces.  The active agents in this fog kill germs, bacteria, and viruses once they come in contact.  According to manufacturer guidelines, it is safe to return to the affected area after 45 minutes to 1 hour.

What kind of Chemical  do you use?

We use an EPA certified Sanitizer/Virucide.  It is safe to resume normal activity in the treated space just 1 hour after treatment.  The Hydro-Mist system leaves behind no residue on surfaces.

What’s the sanitizing process?

We use a Hydro-Spray system to apply the sanitizing treatment.  This typically takes place overnight and involves the use of a commercial sprayer to apply the disinfecting treatment.  As the fog settles onto surfaces it disinfects and leaves behind no residue.

Is this harmful?

No.  This Sanitizing chemical has been thoroughly evaluated by the EPA and certified as safe for the environment, pets, and even infants.

How often should this be done?

There are very specific guidelines recommended by the manufacturer.  This is determined by the size of the space being treated and the volume of traffic passing through the space on a daily basis.  The only way to determine a recommended treatment plan is by evaluation of a trained professional.  To determine the optimal treatment schedule for your office, call C&C Janitorial and schedule a free evaluation.
